Ok, you have decided that you want to totally embrace an online marketing campaign, and you have read somewhere that you need to be "indexed" by all of the Search Engines. While this is true (for all intents and purposes), there is definitely a RIGHT way to do this and a WRONG way to do this.
I am not writing this to scare anyone, as there are no Search Engine police that are going to come to your business and lock you up for submitting your website incorrectly to the Search Engines.
However, there are tons of competitors that will be jumping up and down in gleeful joy that you messed this part of the process up.
You spent all the time developing a keyword list, you carefully had your content of your website crafted...using these keywords. You and your webmaster went in and made to you had all of the proper tags identified with the proper key words within your HTML code...you have done it all...now you need to get "indexed" by the Search Engines.
You read somewhere that there is a "submitURL" site...and you can actually submit your site to a ton of search engines at once!
I want you as my competitor (I am trying to make a point...don't get pissed at me). You have now made a huge mistake...and one that could cost your company months...literally months (up to 1 year) to get indexed properly by the Search Engines. Remember ... as with anything ... there is a right way to do something and a wrong way to do something.
